Platinum-level partnership announced at Northeast Spa and Pool Association’s Pool and Spa Show in Atlantic City

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – January 25, 2024 – Hayward Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: HAYW) (“Hayward” or the “Company”), a global designer, manufacturer, and marketer of a broad portfolio of pool and outdoor living technology, announced today its ongoing commitment and partnership with the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance’s (PHTA) Step Into Swim initiative. 

Hayward is an active member of the Alliance and long-time supporter of the Step Into Swim initiative. Hayward’s donation will help provide learn-to-swim programming for 1,000 children nationwide, and reflects the Company’s community commitment and on-the-ground support of programs that prioritize water safety education. 

The announcement was made at the Northeast Spa and Pool Association’s (NESPA) Pool and Spa Show in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where Hayward was displaying its latest advancements in pool equipment and technology.

Access to pools and education are vital to improving water safety, increasing awareness of the physical and mental benefits of swimming and ultimately inspiring the next generation of swimmers,” said Hayward’s President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Holleran. 

For children ages one to four, learning to swim from a qualified instructor reduces the risk of drowning by 88%. Hayward shares in Step Into Swim’s mission to combat child drowning with access to free swimming lessons and educational resources that teach children confidence when they are in and around water.

As part of Hayward’s partnership with the PHTA, last year the Company donated four variable frequency drives and two CAT5500 controllers to a YMCA located near its corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. The products enabled greater energy efficiency and improved water quality while saving the YMCA money on energy costs. The YMCA hosts regional swim meets for children from the Charlotte community.
