What do Flowsensor Alarms Mean?

The Flowsensor detects water flow from the filter pump in a Body Of Water. It is unsafe to run water treatment features, such as heating, Chlorination, or pH adjustments while there is no water flow.

No Water Flow Flowsensor

A No Water Flow Flowsensor alarm indicates that there is insufficient or no water flow from the filter pump.

No Water Flow Timeout Flowsensor

A No Water Flow Timeout Flowsensor indicates that the filter pump has been stopped due to the No Flow state in the filter pump.

The Flowsensor is located in the plumbing.

If you prefer, here are a few things you can check on and see if they can be addressed without contacting a service professional to help.

  • There may be an obstruction in a skimmer that may be safely cleared while the filter pump is not running.
  • The filter may need to have the filter basket cleared, once again while the filter is not running.
  • A sand filter may need to be backwashed.
  • A cartridge filter may need to be cleaned.

If the Flowsensor persistently detects a No Flow state the system may need to be inspected and maintained by a Hayward Authorized Servicer
