How to install a USB Drive

USB drive information

  • The preferred USB drive to use for the upgrade is the Sandisk Cruzer
  • The memory of the USB drive must be 32GB or less.

Power off the Omni controller by selecting the power button at the bottom left of the screen, followed by pressing the shutdown option. Once the controller display is shutdown, turn power off using the breaker.​

 

1. Select the power button located on the lower left home screen of the controller.

2. Select the Service Mode button.

Locating OmniLogic's USB port

  • The Omni's USB port is located on the left side of the MSP.
  • Getting to the USB port will require removing the OmniLogic's cover.

1. Pull out the T-Cell cable. (If one is installed.)

2. Remove the four screws (size 5/16).  The cover can then be removed by pulling it slightly towards you, and then lifting it up.

3. The USB port is located on the left side of the MSP/Display.

4. Insert the USB drive into the USB port.

5. USB drive is now installed.

6.  Replace the cover, and reconnect the T-Cell cable.

7. Power up the Omni by using the breaker.

Verify Omni Can Access the USB by Backing up Omni's Configuration

The steps below will demonstrate how to backup Omni's configuration

  • We recommend backing up the Omni's configuration before upgrading the firmware.
  • In the event of a hardware and software failure the Omni's configuration can be restored from a backup file saved on a USB drive.

With a USB drive inserted, perform the following from the Omni controller's display:

 

1. Right arrow navigate to find the "config" button and select it.

2. Press "backup."


3. Press "Backup Configuration to USB," then the checkmark to preoceed with the backup.

4. Press the checkmark to complete.
