How to Calibrate an OmniLogic pH or Temp Sensor

The Chem Sense pH, Air and Water Temperature sensors may be calibrated. The pH can be calibrated from the phone app, the Temperature sensor must be calibrated at the controller while in Service Move.

Once you have determined how much the CHEM SENSE READING is off by having independently tested the pH level you are ready to calibrate the pH sensor.

The pH sensor can be calibrated from the phone app by selecting the pH Calibration button.

pH Calibration

The pH Calibration can be adjusted from:

-2.0 to 2.0.

The OFFSET slider is used to select the pH Calibration to apply,

The Save button commits the pH Calibration setting selected using the slider.

If the pH reading needs more of an adjustment than can be calibrated to match the independent test of the water’s pH the system may need to be inspected and maintained by a Hayward Authorized Servicer.

With the pH calibrated by -0.5 a sensor that was reading a pH of 7.9 now displays as 7.4.

Temperature Calibration

Air Temp sensor at the Omni is reporting 51°F when the actual temperature is 54°F -3°  off.

1.

Temperature Sensor Calibration requires the system to be in Service Mode. To enter Service Mode first select the Power button.

2.

Next select service node, then select the Yes button.

Main Panel

Select the location of the sensors, in this example the sensor is located on the Main Panel, MP.

Sensor Button

The Sensor button to access the sensors available for configuration.

Air Sensor

The Air Sensor is labeled and displays the current reading of the Temperature sensor. Selecting the Sensor’s button will open the Calibration screen for the Air Sensor.

Temperature Sensor Calibration

A Temperature Sensor can be calibrated from -10° to 10° using the slider to select the adjustment needed to correct the calibration of the displayed temperature.

In this example the displayed Air Temperature is known to be 3 degrees cooler than the actual temperature.

To calibrate the Temperature Sensor 3° warmer, select 3 using the slider and then select the checkmark button to commit the calibrated adjustment to the displayed temperature.

The temperature calibration to the Air Sensor is now seen in Sensor screen.

Select the Back Arrow button to navigate to the option to exit Service Mode.

Select the “service mode exit” button to Exit Service Mode

Observe corrected Air temperature from the idle screen at the controller.
